We would talk for hours every night
You were my best friend- the person I knew I could tell everything. You were the first person I trusted in so long. You trusted me too, for a while. You told me things from when you were younger, the things you were ashamed of, your past. Most importantly, why you became who you became.

But you became this monster, growing stronger every day. You really were intimidating. You made me think, and every time I talked to you I felt even more inferior. There was only one topic we could talk about where I didn't feel stupid- me, of course. So when I hung up the phone I would always be thinking, 'wow, why are we always talking about me? Do they think I'm full of myself or something?'

And then there was that one day when I discovered I was right.  I swear, for the rest of my life I'll never forget that night.

Did you know I've spent the last week crying myself to sleep? No, you don't care. The only person you feel sorry for is yourself. Your problems are a lot more real, aren't they m'dear?
